Islam Questions

The five pillars of Islam are Shahada, Salat, Zakzt, Sawm and Hajj. They are like the Ten commandments to the Christians and Jews or like the the Eightfold Path to Buddhists. The first pillar of Islam is Shahada which means the declaration of faith in Allah.  The second pillar is Salat it means the prayer towards Mecca (the holy city) five times daily.  The third pillar of Islam is Zakzt, almsgiving or welfare contribution.  The fourth pillar is Sawm, the word means the fasting during Ramadan.  The fifth and final pillar is Hajj which means the pilgrimage to Mecca.

The three important artifacts of Islam are the Black Stone, the Kaaba and Muhammad's Bowl. The first artifact, the Black Stone, is important because it is said to have been given to the Muslims by Allah himself. The second artifact is the Kaaba. It's important because it is the building that houses the Black Stone and is sacred to them for they are supposed to pray towards the Kaaba. The Kaaba is the building that Muslims visit during the Hajj. The third artifact is Muhammad's Bowl. It is important because it is the bowl that Muhammad was said to have used and was handed down from generation to generation in Muhammad's family until it landed in Chechnya. It is a rare piece to them like the Black Stone.
